Built in about 1894, it still retains some of its original Scots Pine cladding, this Cumbrian cottage is a cosy retreat. It has views across both the Lake District Fells & the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (better seen from the end of the garden by the pond).
Our dog friendly holiday cottage Holly Lodge is attached to The Hollies, a former gentleman's residence. The lodge itself was built as a museum by the then owner, for an army officer, possibly his brother, returning from war, to house his game trophies and his billiards table. It was later converted to use as a 'granny annex' by adding a lean-to bathroom extension which has now been demolished as part of our renovations & replaced with a fully accessible wet room & accessible kitchen. Outside the back door is a Mobility scooter charger point. View Access Guide.
